The Quality Assurance Manager ensures that all manufactured products are within product specifications and meet customer expectations. They will develop and implement quality control systems, conduct inspections, analyze data, and lead efforts to improve processes and reduce defects. They also oversee the training of personnel and collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure quality. The goal is to help preserve our reputation by ensuring that our products and services are capable to drive sustainable growth.
· Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
· Develop/revamp and implement quality control systems: This includes establishing quality standards, procedures, and specifications.
· Manage and track quality metrics: Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other relevant metrics to track quality performance and identify areas for improvement.
· Devise and review specifications for products or processes.
· Conduct inspections and tests: Evaluating products at various stages of production to identify potential issues.
· Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations.
· Supervise team members, providing guidance and feedback.
· Develop and train team members to new processes and standard work.
· Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues: Investigating root causes of quality problems and developing corrective actions.
· Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
· Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis.
· Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether we meet their requirements.
· Lead continuous improvement efforts: Implementing strategies to reduce defects, improve efficiency, and enhance overall quality Requirements and skills.
· Bachelor's degree in a related field such as engineering, manufacturing, or quality management
· Relevant experience in quality control, quality assurance, or manufacturing
· Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) may be helpful
· In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
· Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.
