Position summary: The Quality Manger is responsible for ensuring the quality of products provided by HYUNDAI STEEL meet customer standards and requirements. This role also oversees and provides direction for the IATF Certification of the company. The Quality Manager will serve as a key contact with regards to customer communication related to all Quality matters.
· Provide leadership for the organization and the Quality department on all quality related issues of the company
· Understanding complex quality guidelines regarding materials and manufacturing processes
· Reaffirm existing systems, or create/implement new systems designed to produce high quality products and reduce scrap
· Establish and maintain key performance indicators and systems for tracking, reporting and improving performance.
· Serve as the key contact for customers on quality related issues, and for internal and external auditors
· Partner with production and other departments to help resolve technical issues and implement corrective action
· Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
· Oversee IATF certification obtainment and ensure continual current status
· Responsible for ensuring customer claims are handled properly and in a timely manner
· Responsible for Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization
· Assessing suppliers and HYUNDAI STEEL’s product specifications and customer requirements
· Collecting and analyzing quality performance data and making any necessary changes to meet company and customer goals
· Identify relevant quality related training needs and ensure Quality Team Members are properly trained to perform needed task in support of company goals
· Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated to meet company goals
· Establish standards of service for internal and external customers
· Attend and facilitate Department and Company meetings
· Interface the SAP database and maintain accurate and up to date information within the system
· Manage and direct Quality Team Members, including quality inspectors
· Evaluate Quality Team Members on their performance as necessary
