The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation of the quality department and the efficacy of the overall program to ensure the utmost in customer satisfaction. The Quality Manager will also be responsible for ensuring continual quality improvement within the facility.
- Maintain company quality standards.
- Review products, processes and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made.
- Oversee the product manufacturing process to ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS).
- Actively participate in production meetings with the manufacturing team.
- Preparing and responding to customer audit and customer claim as a representative of the factory.
- Develop health and safety procedures adherence to the federal and state laws and ensure in the quality lab.
- Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) used by the Quality team to ensure the facility's goals are being reviewed.
- Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement.
- Discipline, motivate, and train team members to expand their leadership qualities. Perform their Annual Performance Reviews.
- Train quality engineer and technicians. Cross-train worker teams for maximum production flexibility.
- Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems.
- Evaluate realistic options to recommend/implement appropriate course of action.
- Participate in leadership committees and support various management initiatives.
- Plan and manage the quality team budget
- Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant department/teams.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS.
- Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of all federal and state safety standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
- Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
- Strong proficiency in using ERP/MES systems.
- Strong proficiency in using and reporting with software including MS Office Suites.
- Knowledge of Quality Control techniques, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S and change management techniques.
- Proven project management ability with concurrent project assignments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Korean and English.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in Quality Management in the manufacturing industry.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification.
- Documented supervisory training.
- Experience in high tech or solar manufacturing industry and startups.
