We are seeking an experienced and driven Quality Manager to lead our Quality Control team. In this role, you will oversee inspection and testing activities, manage and mentor Quality Inspectors, and ensure compliance with industry standards. You’ll play a key part in maintaining product and process conformance, coordinating inspection programs, and driving quality excellence across our operations.

- Direct and manage the Quality Control function and assist with technical issues to maintain workflow.
- Maintain overall responsibility for dimensional, visual, and receiving inspection of company products.
- Establish, administer, and coordinate training programs for Quality Inspectors.
- Review and provide updated information for Quality Procedures.
- Serve as a Technical Authority for API 16AR and relevant equipment certifications, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and documentation requirements. This includes the authority to review repair and remanufacture records and sign Certificates of Compliance (CoCs), in coordination with designated QC Inspectors, Management Representatives, Engineers, and other Technical Authorities.
- Keep the QHSE Director informed of significant developments impacting quality requirements.
- Conduct annual reviews of subordinates to assess performance and recommend recognition in accordance with company policy.
- Analyze quality-related problems and collaborate with other departments to resolve them.
- Assist Quality Inspectors in resolving work-related issues.
- Motivate and support Quality Inspectors in achieving department goals.
- Maintain overall responsibility for the calibration of testing, monitoring, measuring, and detection equipment (TMMDE).
- Recruit, hire, counsel, and terminate staff as needed based on business requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate all activities related to inspection of completed work packages.
- Monitor quality testing and oversee accurate reporting of inspection results.
- Schedule and manage work priorities and shift coverage for Quality Inspectors.
- Recommend and implement changes to increase safety, efficiency, and quality performance.
- Maintain time and production records for the inspection team.
- Collaborate with other managers to coordinate inter-departmental quality needs.
- Comply with the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and relevant company policies.
- Adhere to all company quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) requirements.
- Ensure all inspection-related forms and departmental records are complete and accurate.
- Recommend the purchase of specialized precision measuring tools; assist in vendor selection and procurement approvals.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned or requested by the department manager or supervisor.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of API 16AR and related API product specifications (e.g., API 16A, 6A).
- Ability to review, interpret, and validate equipment repair and remanufacture records.
- Competence in certifying equipment conformance and signing CoCs.
- Understanding of repair and inspection procedures related to drill-through and pressure control equipment.
- Experience with traceability, verification, and documentation practices.
- Ability to perform and oversee dimensional inspections.
- Ability to recognize and assess non-conformances.
- Working knowledge of steel process metallurgy and manufacturing techniques is desirable.
