Job Summary: The Quality Manager will be responsible for overall Quality Management and program for LOTTE Aluminium Materials USA including quality control, quality assurance, quality management system, audit systems including ISO and IATF certification.
- Responsible for building and driving the success of the Quality Department in a greenfield startup facility, will direct the Quality team members and collaborate with other departments to ensure effective QMS is implemented and managed to meet the overall objectives of the business
- Responsible for managing team members in all areas of the Quality Department including but not limited to Quality Assurance, Quality Management, Audit System
- Conducts related customer response including business trips to customer locations as needed for managing customer relations and addressing Quality issues to ensure customer satisfaction
- Responsible for obtaining and maintaining IATF Certification
Responsible for managing Quality Lab operations for material flow from receiving raw material through shipment of finished goods, ensuring development of staff within area, ensuring measuring equipment is appropriate for required inspections to meet customer specifications
- Responsible for managing nonconformance of products within the facility, disposition of nonconformances and implementing corrective actions if necessary
- Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly quality reporting to upper management
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for quality control within the organization, maintaining updates, communication and appropriate training for associates
- Responsible for setting up the Quality Control process in SAP and MES by partnering with IT and other departments to ensure successful integration and maintenance of the process
- Responsible managing and maintaining Quality equipment including improvements and renovation
- Responsible for approving and maintaining reporting of the Quality of the subsidiary materials
- Responsible for storage and management of tools and devices required for quality control
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
- Responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s Quality Policies and Procedures
- Responsible for driving Quality Department accountability, managing team members by ensuring effective development of each individual, processing disciplinary actions as needed, conduct performance evaluations, establish, communicate and drive department goals, develop, communicate and manage department KPI’s
- Oversee the daily workflow of the Quality Department
- Partner with and support HR with the recruitment efforts for the Quality Department in hiring qualified Quality candidates
- Develop and coordinate appropriate training for team members including newly hired associates
- Other duties and tasks as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field with 7 years of experience in Quality Management required
Minimum of 10 years experience in Quality Management in lieu of degree is required, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Aluminium industry is preferred but not required
Experience managing, developing and maintaining Quality Management Systems is required
Proven experience managing a team
Practical experience with IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee will be required to: sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time and work on a computer; regularly walk and communicate. Must be comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, climb stairs frequently throughout each day, and do some lifting. There are times when you will need to walk throughout the manufacturing plant floor or walk between buildings, which includes but is not limited to walking outside, walking up and down stairs, walking across metal grates and potentially being in contact with slippery surfaces.
Supervisory Responsibilities Oversee a team including, but not limited to Quality Engineers, Quality Supervisors and Quality Technicians. As the company grows, the position could obtain further supervisory responsibilities depending on the need of the department to support the success of the business.
