Quality Inspection - 2nd shift

Auto Cast, Inc is in search of a dependable, in-house quality inspector. This is a 2nd shift position and pay will include a shift premium! Experience is a plus, but not necessary as we will teach the job to the right person! In this position, you can expect to:

Responsibilities:

- 1. Perform inspection duties as described in the Control Plan and Inspection Instruction.

- 2. Perform inspection duties as described in quality sort instruction book on / off site.

- 3. Assist the Quality Lead and Quality Manager in disposition of non-conforming parts.

- 4. Responsible for informing appropriate personnel of items affecting quality (ie packaging, handling, processing, tooling, workmanship, etc.).

- 5. Use prescribed measurement devices (CMM, Faro, Calipers, micrometers, etc.)

- 6. Perform testing as prescribed in test procedures (X-Ray, Spectrograph, etc.)

- 7. Enter and retrieve information on a computer.

- 8. SPC charting as required by the Control Plan and Test Instructions.

- 9. Audit work cell, process and product as required.

- 10. Move parts to / from work area using a hi-lo

- 11. Help Shipping with the load and unloading of trucks and stacking parts in the proper area.

- 12. Organize and stack parts in proper areas.

- 13. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by Quality Leader / Quality Manager.

Requirements:

- 1. Must be able to sit or stand for 8 to 10 hours per day with up to 3 breaks.

- 2. Must be able to wear proper safety equipment PPE.

- 3. Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs up to 120 times per day.

- 4. Must be capable of lifting up to 45 lbs boxes approximately 200 times per day.

- 5. Must be capable of obtaining a hi-lo license.

- 6. Must be able to withstand repetitious hand and arm motion for up to 10 hours per day.

- 7. Must have 20/20 vision (may be corrected) for fine and delicate inspection.

- 8. Must be capable of handling high temperatures during summer months for short periods of time.

- 9. Must be able to use computer programs (Excel, Word, etc.) on the computer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
