POSITION SUMMARY: Lead and organize overall quality activities in support of the Quality Management System and company objectives. Perform quality engineering functions regarding design and development, mass production and delivery to assure quality and exceed customer expectations. Exercise judgment within defined practices and support quality systems development ensuring applicable regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Make independent decisions. Demonstrate potential for technical proficiency, engineering creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought. Understand the need to work with a sense of urgency in required situations. Continually assess data for improvements in process efficiencies and part quality.
•Take initiative, analyze data, apply technical approaches, evaluate results, and form conclusions regarding problem solving and continuous improvement. Make suggestions and develop plans. Work independently, in a team or as a leader to ensure corrective and preventive action plans are developed and effectively executed.
•Prepare, apply, revise, and maintain quality function documentation for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. Include work instructions, control plans, PPAP submissions, testing and evaluation instruction to assure conformance and quality of product and processes.
•Maintain good customer relationships. Work as a customer liaison during all phases of the product life cycle including development, design changes and mass production. Coordinate customer quality communication, customer concerns and rating programs.
•Maintain and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluation of the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment. Provide expert consultation and assistance in the development of all quality tests, gauging, and inspections. Oversee inspection function training.
Qualifications:
•Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or related field preferred).
•Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable manufacturing quality position.
