Job Summary:
Advanced Exhaust Solutions (AES) is seeking a detail-driven and proactive Quality Engineer to join our team in Northfield, MN. In this role, you’ll lead initiatives that drive customer satisfaction, product excellence, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities:
•Drive Customer Satisfaction: Lead efforts to resolve quality complaints and provide customer-facing feedback to improve relationships and outcomes.
•Problem Solving Leadership: Facilitate 8D problem-solving teams to identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions for non-conforming products.
•Analyze and Improve: Review, analyze, and report on key quality data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
•Supplier Collaboration: Build strong relationships with key suppliers to promote mutual growth and ensure consistent quality improvements.
•Document and Maintain Standards: Develop and manage quality documentation such as Inspection Plans, Control Plans, Process FMEAs, and Process Flowcharts.
•Production Oversight: Monitor production floor processes to ensure compliance with control plans and customer requirements.
•PPAP Management: Prepare and submit Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) packages to meet customer standards.
•Audit and Compliance: Participate in internal and external audits to ensure alignment with ISO 9001 and other quality systems.
•Champion Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of excellence by driving initiatives to achieve business and plant objectives.
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
•Proven experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) within a manufacturing environment.
•Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems.
•Lean Six Sigma experience (preferred).
•Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
•Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
•Detail-oriented mindset and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards.
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing independent tasks and teamwork.
Physical Requirements:
•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally as part of job duties.
•May involve extended periods of standing, walking, bending, or stooping.
•Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, or computers.
Work Environment:
•AES is committed to a safety-first culture, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection when necessary.
•While working independently on inspections, you will also collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to maintain product integrity.
•The work environment includes exposure to moderate noise levels, machinery, and temperature variations typical of a manufacturing facility.
