Lead and organize overall quality activities in support of the Quality Management System and company objectives. Perform quality engineering functions in design, development, production, and delivery to ensure compliance, exceed customer expectations, and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation (work instructions, control plans, PPAP submissions, testing instructions).
- Lead corrective and preventive action activities, ensuring effective execution.
- Apply technical problem-solving methods to improve quality and process efficiency.
- Act as a liaison with customers on quality performance, concerns, and rating programs.
- Support product life cycle quality activities, including development, design changes, and mass production.
- Implement and manage inspection, testing, and evaluation methods for products and equipment.
- Provide expertise in gauging, inspection, and quality test development.
- Support training of inspection personnel and quality team members.
- Analyze data for trends and opportunities in product and process improvements.
- Support cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives tied to quality outcomes.
- Setting: Primarily office-based with regular interaction on the production floor.
- Mobility: Ability to move between office, quality lab, and manufacturing areas as needed.
- Conditions: Exposure to manufacturing noise, machinery, and occasional handling of parts and tools.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and maintain strong hand-eye coordination.
- Schedule: On-site, Monday–Friday, with occasional on-call responsibilities to support production or customer needs.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in a manufacturing quality role.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, APQP, root cause analysis).
