We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that product is in compliance with customer specific requirements and engineering specifications while maintaining accountability to Flexlabs Corporation’s Quality System. This position involves working closely with manufacturing teams to implement quality management systems, conduct audits, and improve processes to enhance product quality. Assist in maintaining quality control objectives and measures that align with corporate policies and goals throughout multiple facilities.
1.) Establish and maintain quality plans, controls, and methods for production and inspection personnel. Outputs to include part specific technical documents such as process flow diagrams, control plans, FMEA’s, inspection procedures, quality books, and quality alerts.
2.) Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and inspectors to maintain accountability to the quality plans, controls, and methods.
3.) Provide training and support to team members on quality systems, QA/QC methodologies, and best practices in quality management.
4.) Ensure that the company’s products and processes meet established quality standards by proactively identifying potential shortfalls, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating with cross functional teams on developing corrective measures.
5.) Gather product specifications and analyze statistical data to assist in determining process capability and repeatability of parts during the production process to ensure that products consistently meet established quality standards.
6.) Strong experience in conducting quality audits, inspections, and assessments within a manufacturing environment.
7.) Program inspection measurement tools such as Smart Scope, CMM, Keyence and capture measurement data outputs for analysis and CA.
8.) Oversee and/or assist in quality studies such as tooling verification or validation.
9.) Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve the quality of our operational processes and outputs.
Five plus years of quality management systems experience with emphasis on statistical analysis, FMEAs, and control plans.
Bachelor’s degree in quality or engineering is strongly preferred. ASQ certification a plus to have.
A team player possessing strong math (including basic trigonometry), mechanical, troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.
The ability to comprehend and interpret written documentation and engineered drawings.
Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Strong experience in conducting quality audits, inspections, and assessments within a manufacturing environment.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Minitab, ERP systems).
Skilled using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, digital rulers, optical comparators, coordinate measurement systems, and dedicated check fixtures.
Ability to program inspection tools such as Smart Scope, CMM, Keyence and capture measurement data for analysis.
Able to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment, work under pressure and time deadlines.
Requires the ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively.
A self-starter with an organized, results oriented approach.
Excellent analytical skills for data interpretation and problem-solving related to quality issues.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and convey quality-related information clearly.
This position will be required to support multiple sites as needed.
