We're seeking a Quality Engineer who thrives on tackling challenges, streamlining processes, and delivering excellence across our electric busway and tap-off box operations.
This is more than a quality role—it’s a chance to influence how world-class electrical infrastructure is built, tested, and trusted. From incoming materials to final assemblies, your work will drive safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Location: Primarily based in Adairsville, GA, with regular responsibilities in Tucker, GA.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and own quality assurance protocols that ensure every product meets the highest standards.
- Inspect and validate incoming components and finished goods—you're the gatekeeper of excellence.
- Support and oversee the quality of the busway tap-off box assembly line, ensuring everything aligns with engineering specs.
- Drive continuous improvement using FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, APQP, and other world-class quality tools.
- Create clear, actionable quality reports and performance metrics that fuel better decision-making.
- Launch and maintain a digital Document Management System to bring clarity and control to quality documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—engineering, production, and logistics—to eliminate inefficiencies and elevate product reliability.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes, turning challenges into improvements.
- Educate and mentor colleagues on quality best practices and foster a culture of accountability.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and all relevant regulations and internal standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering—or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, ideally within manufacturing or industrial operations.- Solid working knowledge of electrical products or past experience as an electrician is a strong plus.
- Certification or deep experience with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality systems.
- Mastery of tools like FMEA, PPAP, and Control Plans, plus a keen eye for details that matter.
- Confidence to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general digital documentation platforms.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs—this isn’t just a desk job.
