We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario! As a Quality Coordinator, you will ensure that proper procedures are being followed by the inspection team members for productivity, quality control, and safety.
- Identifying inbound material grades, non-conformities, non-recyclable and hazardous material in inbound loads
- Effectively and successfully training productivity, quality control and safety measures as established and set for the Inspection Team
- Facilitating and directing trucks to correct yard locations in an efficient manner
- Performing Daily Checks (Pile Quality, Truck Inspection, Gate Cleanliness, Overnight Loads)
- Providing feedback to production about material quality or sale specifications
- Coordinating quick action for loads that need to be sorted and dealt with in a timely fashion
- Communicating with supervisors and commercial team about downgrades and deductions
- Assisting in the implementation of training programs to train external team members on quality and procedures
- Reviewing outbound sales to ensure quality specifications are met
- You are experienced in working around heavy equipment
- You are comfortable with working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- You have strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- You have strong attention to detail and good work ethic
