Job Summary
Manage, develop, an implement quality strategies, procedures and policies to establish and maintain PPC quality assurance inspection and lab testing operations utilizing NadCap and AS9100D techniques. Provide managerial and technical oversight and effectively interact with regulatory and customers to enhance and improve business and regulatory relationships and processes.
Responsibilities
•Manage the planning, staffing and leadership in the QA Department to maintain an effective, cost-efficient quality system and safe working environment to meet corporate priorities under guidelines of AS9100D.
•Monitors laboratory compliance with reference methods, SOPs, and procedure and /or specification requirements.
•Performs root cause analysis investigations in response to audit findings, client complaints, etc. Recommends resolutions for recurring nonconformance and ensures implementation of appropriate corrective action.
•Maintain laboratory equipment performance by establishing quality standards; developing operations, quality, and troubleshooting procedures; ensuring staff compliance; certifying instrument performance;
•Proactively define and implement changes in the QMS, quality processes and regulatory guidance when appropriate.
•Ensure compliance to all applicable federal, corporate, departmental an organizational policy requirements.
•Communicate with customers to help resolve quality and inspection challenges.
•Determines testing or inspection procedure to ensure complete verification of specifications and/or dimensions.
•Interpret blueprints and all relevant specification sheet(s) necessary for confirm conformity.
•Create, modify and/or approve procedures used to determine conformity.
•Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
•Four (4) years of quality assurance/control, manufacturing operations or military operations experience. Aerospace industry experience preferred.
•Demonstrated knowledge of the technical and business aspects of metal finishing or laboratory testing.
•Must be familiar with Microsoft, with the ability to prepare spreadsheets and inspection/quality reports.
•The ability to write effectively, to read and understand work documents, to communicate information clearly.
•Functional understanding of ISO 9001/AS9100 and NADCAP requirements preferred.
