General Purpose of this Position:
The purpose of the Quality Control Manager is to ensure that products, services, or processes meet the defined quality standards and satisfy customer expectations. This will be achieved through various strategies, processes, and activities, such as inspection, testing, auditing, and continuous improvement efforts.
Details:
•Management of personnel and the inspection quality system
•Make sure to communicate relevant information to employees.
•Assign inspection personnel (external and internal) according to their qualification
•Comply with requirements and responsibilities for the calibration of measuring and testing instruments
•Comply with the procedure for identifying and processing product non-conformities
•Together with the Plant Manager, analyze non-conformities and report them to the members of the management review
•Review the identification and writing of non-conformities.
•Resolve nonconformities to the satisfaction of specified requirements and recommend corrective actions.
•Analyze and propose preventive actions to avoid the repetition of non-conformities.
•Ensure quality control of products, from reception to dispatch (control of documents and processes).
•Verifies CoCs for purchased consumables and approve for use.
•Performs and completes External and Internal Audit documentation as requested.
•Ensure the control of the calibration of measurement, control, and test equipment.
•Ensure the maintenance of the identification and traceability of products and the status of controls and tests.
•Supervise and maintain an efficient inspection department (staff management and training).
•Interpretation of plans, specifications, and standards
•Supervise NDT inspectors from firms appointed by Harbor Fab.
•Validate product and compile NDT inspection reports
•Perform Subcontractor Audits
•All other related tasks.

•Documentation of NCR and RFI
•Comprehension of contract specifications
•Software and IT: Excel, Tekla
•Technical Knowledge: Blueprint reading, AISC, AWS D1.1, Other related standards
Credentials and Experience
•College degree in related fields
•Leadership and Management courses
•5-10 years as an inspector in steel fabrication
•1-3 years managing personnel (preferred)
