About Our Quality Assurance Specialist
Our ideal candidate has an investigative mind and a genuine interest in improvement methodology. In this role, you will audit our internal processes, analyze nonconformity issues, and oversee documentation management. If you're all about accuracy and follow through, this is the position for you!
Responsibilities
- Monitor Welker procedures, non-conformity cases, and customer service opportunities; analyze compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation
- Discuss emerging compliance issues with management or employees and monitor corrective actions
- Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with internal procedures and external requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, CE, etc.); provide assistance to external auditors
- Gather product certifications and documentation to meet customer requirements; facilitate gauge calibration as needed and notify upper management of warranty claims
- Assist in reviewing proposed changes to standard operating procedures by ensuring QA standards are upheld; perform supplier evaluations

- Tech Savvy: You are familiar with Microsoft Office applications and able to quickly adapt to new software programs, including the Welker ERP software, to handle the clerical aspects of the position. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat is preferred
- Attention to Detail: You make a conscious effort to focus on the details, to ensure quality and safety are maintained throughout the company

Qualifications
- Must be extremely detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with auditing, data analysis, and/or statistics preferred
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required, supplemented by hands-on experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
