We are a leading manufacturing company in the Newport area seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Inspector for the 2st Shift. This full-time position offers a competitive wage ranging from $20.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience. This position is located onsite at company headquarters in Newport, NH.
This team-oriented role partners with quality members, programming, manufacturing, and engineering teams to address and resolve unique and challenging problems. The Quality Assurance (QA) Team Member / Inspector will support manufacturing quality across all processes and ensure successful implementation and execution of manufacturing quality plans.
· Conduct full open-setup inspection of parts and roaming inspections of finished machined parts throughout the shop.
· Execute first article/PPAP inspections and associated documentation.
· Set up, calibrate, and perform R&R studies on gauges.
· Identify non-conforming parts and collaborate with machinists to determine the root cause of defects.
· Develop work instructions and directly train machinists and quality technicians on best practices.
· Log and control incoming and outgoing gauging and calibrate all internal gauging on schedule.
· Balloon prints and create dimensional records AS9102 first articles and critical dimension reports.
· Demonstrate knowledge of ISO-9001 and AS9100 quality management systems.
· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent field experience.
· Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing quality systems role
· Proficiency in GD&T, blueprint interpretation, layout inspection, and various inspection gauges methods and technologies.
· Knowledge of Gage Trak functions, CMM operation, and PPAP. (Preferred)
· Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Physical ability to bend, kneel, reach, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
· Proven ability to use and calibrate various inspection equipment and gauges.
· Ability to provide recommendations based on experience and knowledge.
· Demonstrates knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretations.
· Effectively communicates quality concerns and resolutions with machinists, operators, and leadership.
· Demonstrates professionalism and support for machinists, operators, and leadership.
As a member of our team, the Quality Assurance Inspector will assist in covering various roles as needed throughout the facility, including special assignments from management.
