The Quality Assistant supports the Manufacturing Quality Engineer in the day-to-day execution of quality management activities across new product development, supplier management, internal inspections, and documentation. This role is essential in ensuring all quality systems are implemented effectively and accurately documented to support smooth production and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
New Product Development Support
•Assist in compiling and maintaining control plans (CP), standard operating procedures (SIP), and measurement instructions.
•Help organize and file product testing records, improvement actions, and validation results.
•Track progress of new product testing and escalate issues when necessary.
Quality Documentation & Reporting
•Prepare initial drafts of PPAP documents under the guidance of the engineer.
•Maintain quality system documentation, including ISO9001/14001-related files, audits, training records, and document control logs.
•Assist in data entry and analysis for regular quality performance reports.
Supplier Quality Support
•Record and track supplier quality issues and follow-up status (e.g., 8D reports).
•Help organize supplier audit checklists and support in supplier qualification tasks.
•Maintain supplier quality history and documentation database.
Internal Quality Control Support
•Collect and compile data from incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
•Support frontline inspection teams in completing quality records.
•Help prepare FMEA-related data for analysis and quality meetings.
Customer and Internal Communication
•Assist in organizing customer quality-related feedback, complaints, and corrective action tracking logs.
•Schedule and document cross-departmental quality meetings and follow-ups.
Team Support & Training
•Coordinate training records for quality and technical staff.
•Support internal quality audits by preparing documentation and follow-up logs.
Qualifications:
•Associate degree or above in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
•1–2 years of experience in quality or administrative support preferred.
•Basic understanding of quality systems (e.g., ISO9001) and manufacturing processes.
•Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling technical documentation.
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and document management systems.
•Bilingual in Mandarin and English preferred.
