Our Belding Location is seeking to DIRECT HIRE 1 Quality Assistant for our 1st Shift.

Who are you?

- You will possess at minimum a high school diploma or GED and have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role in an automotive manufacturing setting.

- You enjoy training and mentoring production employees according to the training matrix.

- You will spend most of the time on the floor monitoring team quality and answering questions as they arise.

- You will capture Images of parts.

- You will update our Points for Defects program.

- You will be our Customer contact for quality service items as needed (EAPA, DMR, etc.).

- You enjoy taking part in quality planning as needed in a team centered environment.

- You will Issue, track, and follow-up Corrective Action Requests, Customer Opportunities, ticket errors and Late Deliveries as required.

- You will suggest engineering changes for racking and packing methods as needed.

- You will update Customer Specific screen as needed.

- You will be handling and documenting nonconforming products.

- You will collect part images of new parts.

- When parts are returned, you will be responsible to complete the Returned Product Test/Analysis form.

- You will be responsible for running a hold report and obtain a disposition for product on raw hold for customer related issues.

Secondary Duties:

- Perform quality inspections as needed

- Pick up points for defect parts and prepare them to be returned to the customer(s)

- PPAP submissions

- Perform daily testing for all plants to support requirements for PPAPs, Process verification plan and miscellaneous customer requests.
