Ensure that quality procedures are followed on the assigned shift so that the customer receives material according to specifications and on a timely basis.
- Audit skids for completeness and accuracy.
- Conduct readings for certification.
- Check testing equipment and send out for calibration, as required.
- Complete various reports, such as line sheets and end sheets, receipts, monitor logbooks.
- Review and make decisions on rejected material.
- Answer customer’s questions and interface with vendors as necessary.
- Complete Certification of Plating for shipments of plated material.
- When necessary, communicate with customers to obtain feedback on quality issues.
- Track and report internal rejects and work with the Quality Manager to complete any corrective action paperwork.
- Aid the Production team on internal rejection issues.
- Perform work outside of normal business hours as needed.
- Maintain regular and satisfactory attendance.
Negative drug screen, high school diploma or GED equivalent required. Demonstrated understanding and proficiency in all areas of quality control function gained from considerable experience in the department or outside the organization. Ability to set up inspection equipment, read blueprints, basic understanding of statistics, basic problem-solving skills and good communication and interpersonal skills are required. Proficiency in PC software that includes Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
