•The Purchasing & Planning Assistant is responsible for maintaining an efficient and smooth operation by assisting in activities involved in purchasing products to include establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors.
•Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Assist with purchasing and contracting of materials for operation of plant.
•Help search for new materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve improved quality, reliability, pricing, and delivery.
•Identify vendors; assess vendor’s abilities and gage performance.
•Determine merchandise costs formulating and coordinating merchandising policies and activities to guarantee profit.
•Recommend major purchases of materials based on projected changes in process or on uncommon availability circumstances.
•Follow up on the procuring of products with staff to make sure product is meeting expectations.
•Partners with manufacturing and production planning groups to meet delivery goals.
•Subject matter expert on quality policies and technical procedures.

•High School Diploma or GED.
•2-4 years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse industry.
•Knowledge of tool component tracking system.
•Filing skills include physical and digital records management.
•Excellent analytical, prioritization, delegation, and multitasking skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office.
•Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) to interact with co-workers, managers, customers, and vendors.
•Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment around large and noisy equipment.
