Purchasing Assistant
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support the Purchasing and Inventory Manager in ensuring efficient procurement and inventory management. This role involves assisting in demand planning, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing purchasing processes to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective acquisition of materials and products.

What you will be Doing:
•Assisting in forecasting future inventory requirements based on historical data.
•Helping maintain accurate records of inventory usage and trends.
•Communicating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
•Supporting the consolidation of suppliers to maximize value and efficiency.
•Helping establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
•Assisting in creating purchase orders and tracking order status.
•Supporting the negotiation process with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
•Helping ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
•Assisting in monitoring inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
•Helping track inventory movement and identify discrepancies or issues.
•Supporting regular audits and inspections to maintain accurate inventory records.
•Assisting in managing vendor and contractor procurement, including tracking, reporting, invoicing, and financial reconciliation.
•Preparing and maintaining documentation related to purchasing activities.
•Generating reports and providing data analysis to support purchasing decisions.
•Supporting the evaluation and improvement of purchasing processes and procedures.
•Helping educate team members on best practices for purchasing and inventory management.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
•Experience or familiarity with Electrical and Instrumentation products and suppliers is a plus.
•Basic knowledge of purchasing processes and inventory management.
•1-2 number of years of experience in a similar position.
•Strong organizational and communication skills.
•Analytical skills to assist in streamlining procedures and forecasting inventory needs.
•Ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
•High school diploma or equivalent.
Working Conditions:
•This is a Monday–Friday position in our Midland office.
•Hours of work are 8am-4:30pm with some flexibility.
•Role covers the Permian area operations and travel will be required as needed to complete some job functions.
