Northwest Pump is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our team. This position will be at the forefront of our procurement department optimizing our supply chain, identifying top-tier suppliers, and leading our dynamic purchasing team. The ideal candidate will be effective in identifying and evaluating suppliers and managing the purchasing team to guarantee timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining high standards of quality. · Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives, including cost reduction, supplier optimization, and risk management
· Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services
· Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals; provide ongoing guidance, training, and support
· Drive the integration of systems and processes resulting from mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless alignment and functionality across platforms
· Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to make informed decisions, optimize costs, and maximize value for the organization
· Collaborate with S&OP Manager on inventory levels, minimize excess inventory, and ensure that materials are available as needed while avoiding shortages
· Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times
· Work with Product Managers and/or S&OP Manager to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers as needed
· Ensure all procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards
· Generate and present regular reports on procurement performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to executive leadership team
