Position Overview:

As a Purchasing Assistant at GCI Homes Inc., you will play a crucial role in supporting our procurement process. You will assist in sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, building and maintaing our trade base, obtaining and reciewing bids, and ensuring that our projects are supplied with the necessary resources to deliver exceptional homes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in the construction and real estate industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in procuring materials and supplies for construction projects.

- Maintain and update purchasing records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotes, bids and manage orders.

- Support the purchasing team in evaluating vendor performance.

- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to align purchasing needs with project timelines.

Qualifications:

-Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

- Previous experience in a purchasing or administrative role is a plus but not required.

Salary Range:

Based on experience level $40,000-$50,000 annually. with potential for bonuses.
