Key Project Requirements:

Job Summary:
PIC Group has a great opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Analyst, supporting a power plant in Queens, NY. The Purchasing Analyst will report directly to the Purchasing Director, and will be responsible for analyzing procurement data, supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, and providing insights to optimize the procurement process. The Purchasing Analyst will work closely with procurement teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, enhance supplier performance, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Analyze procurement data, including spend trends, supplier performance, and market conditions, to support strategic sourcing decisions.
•Develop and present reports, dashboards, and visualizations on procurement activities, cost savings, and KPIs for senior management.
•Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, and support supplier selection and negotiation processes.
•Assist in the development and execution of sourcing strategies aimed at cost savings and supplier performance improvement.
•Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and implement best practices and efficiency improvements.
•Ensure procurement activities align with company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal compliance standards.
•Monitor supplier performance and help resolve performance issues or contract disputes in coordination with procurement leadership.
•Support cross-functional collaboration by gathering departmental requirements and aligning procurement strategies with organizational goals.
•Contribute procurement-related insights for budgeting and forecasting efforts, including cost analysis and benchmarking.
Job Requirements:

Education / Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
•Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)) is a plus.
•4+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or data analysis
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $50-$60.
