Key Job Duties:
Lead multiple projects from order acknowledgment to acceptance by the customer.
•Create overall project schedule using MS Project to generate due dates for projects including, BOM release, Engineering resource planning and Production resource planning.
+ Track job progress by maintaining / updating SPS data bases based on job progress.
•Schedule specification and contract reviews with the Project Team.
•Schedule and lead key project meetings.
•Record and publish notes from these meetings as well as track open action items that need to be completed.
•Ensure projects stay on schedule and/or communicate schedule changes to all stakeholders, and track changes until completed.
•Work with stakeholders to identify and correct material shortages and issues, as well as prioritize job importance.
•Coordinate factory acceptance testing dates with customers, Production and Testing.
•Arrange for the shipment, offloading and commissioning of completed units.
•Track job financial performance and communicate to stakeholders.
•Send accounting notifications to invoice projects.
•Work with QA to resolve any customer complaints, field service or warranty claims.
Interaction with customers including:
•Send order acknowledgments to customers.
•Provide project schedule updates and other requested information.
•Send customers RFIs when additional information about projects is required.
•Manage customer expectations of deadlines due dates.
•Send the customer submittal, record, construction, and as-built documentation including O M Manuals
Required Skills and Experience:
•Minimum One years experience working in a project management function.
•Ability to maintain a professional appearance in a “business casual” atmosphere.
•Behavior that aligns with SPS ethics and business practices.
•Communication, facilitation listening skills.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office
+ MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
•Organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to prioritize tasks and organize workload for ones self.
•Basic decision making skills and logic.
•Customer service mindset. Must be responsive within regular business hours and in some cases outside of regular business hours.
Desired Qualities and Attributes
•Ability to understand basic mechanical and electrical design concepts.
•Read single-line and three-line electrical diagrams.
•Understand mechanical drawings.
•Proficient with MS Project and MS OneNote.
•Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Previous experience in a leadership role.
•Previous Project Management experience.
Educational Requirements:
Two-year Associate degree, four-year Bachelors preferred or equivelent experience
