Project Manager (Full -Time)
Description: Cote Crane & Rigging – Maine’s largest crane/rigging services company and industry leader is growing! We are looking to hire new employees with a strong work-ethic and general knowledge of the construction industry. We have an immediate job opening for a full-time Project Manager operating out of Auburn, ME. The Cote Corporation services include crane service, rigging, heavy machinery moving, trucking, packaging, warehousing, and millwright services. Our Project Managers are the front-line customer contact serving as estimator and project manager seeing each project through to completion.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Conduct site visits and generate estimates.
•Coordinate subcontractors and engineering if required.
•Establish lines of communication with customers; negotiate and coordinate appropriate manpower needs.
•Participate in pre-construction safety meetings to analyze and effectively prepare for risk issues.
•Ensure OSHA regulations and any customer specific safety and health requirements are communicated to our team and that they are implemented appropriately.
•Learn to use lift planning software and create job specific lift plans to ensure a selected crane is appropriate for the planned project.
Job Requirements:
•Must be mechanically inclined and have a strong understanding and familiarization with means and methods of construction and/or manufacturing.
•Exposure to computer-aided design (CAD), AutoCAD 2D is preferred.
•Must have the ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.
•Strong communication skills; must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and our team.
•Ability to take initiative and be successful in a fast-paced environment.
•Must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in either construction, engineering or manufacturing or other relevant experience.
•Must have a valid driver’s license as in-state travel is an essential component of the position.
•The ability to review and understand construction drawings/prints.
