Job Description

•

Oversee and coordinate all aspects of projects to completion on time, within budget and high level of quality. This includes collecting and analyzing client requirements, proposing a technical solution, creating test matrix and project plan, coordinating with outside vendors if needed, interpreting, analyzing and summarizing the test results to create the final client project report.

•

Conduct a wide range of laboratory-based tests involving rock, water and oilfield chemicals.

•

Run tests, manage projects and conduct research independently or as part of a team in an interdisciplinary environment.

•

Play an active role in chemical and engineering focused research and development applicable to completion and production fluid systems.

•

Propose and develop laboratory-based test methods tailored to meet the requirements of the client.

•

Research and reference applicable technical publications within peer reviewed journals, professional societies and technical groups. Identify and develop intellectual properties related to completion and production fluid chemistry.

Candidate Requirements

•

The candidate must have a BS, preferably MS or PhD degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering to have a good understanding of relevant technical concepts, issues, and test methods.

•

Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working as a laboratory professional, and a strong aptitude to learn new technology.

•

Must be able to analyze complex experimental results and create the final deliverable project reports.

•

Good leadership, initiative, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

•

Must possess good organizational and time management skills with the ability to plan, organize and facilitate multiple projects. Must be flexible to handle changing situations and emergency needs to meet project deadlines.

•

Have working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

•

The candidate must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Experience in the following areas is highly preferred:

•

Core Flow Permeability, Acid Core Flood, Gas Core Flood and Formation Response Testing. Core Flow Tester operation, maintenance and method development.

•

Polymer fluids rheology testing.

•

Oilfield chemical testing.
