SUMMARY: The Project Manager plays a crucial role in leading utility-scale generation projects involving wind, solar, energy storage, and hybrid systems. This position is responsible for overseeing every phase of project delivery, from initial scoping and planning through commissioning and final handover. Key responsibilities include managing the replacement of aging assets, optimizing site performance, and coordinating civil, electrical, procurement, and permitting activities. The Project Manager is accountable for ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
- Project Planning and Execution: Develops comprehensive project plans, creates detailed schedules, and allocates resources efficiently for renewable energy projects. Manages execution to ensure all activities adhere to established timelines, budgets, and contractual obligations.
- Leadership and Team Collaboration: Leads and mentors cross-functional teams by fostering an environment of collaboration and accountability. Promotes open communication and shared responsibility, enabling cohesive progress toward project objectives.
- Procurement and Resource Management: Coordinates the procurement and timely delivery of materials and equipment, optimizing resource utilization to support effective project execution. Maintains control of costs and ensures schedules are met.
- Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Enforces rigorous safety protocols and upholds strict compliance with industry standards and regulations. Prioritizes a safe working environment and mitigates risks to support successful project outcomes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintains consistent communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Provides regular updates on project status, proactively identifies risks or issues, and facilitates solutions to emerging challenges.
- Quality Assurance: Monitors all project deliverables to ensure they meet established quality standards and fulfill client expectations. Maintains oversight of processes and outcomes to deliver high-quality results.
- Reporting and Performance Tracking: Generates detailed reports documenting project progress, labor hours, and financial performance. These reports are essential for informed decision-making and maintaining transparency with stakeholders.
- Mission Support: Supports the company’s mission to advance the wind energy industry by delivering innovative solutions, premium parts, and exceptional service. Dedicated to minimizing turbine downtime through expertise and a steadfast commitment to quality and safety.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in project management within the renewable energy or construction sector, including at least two years focused on repower projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Demonstrated strength in leadership, organization, and communication.
- Proficiency in project management software, such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and project coordination.
- Experience working with hybrid systems and integrating energy storage solutions.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, performance analytics, and asset management platforms.
- Capability in financial modeling and budget management for renewable energy projects.
- Ability to influence both cross-functional teams and external stakeholders effectively
- Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for identifying documentation gaps, missing controls, or field workarounds that could impact quality.
