Job Overview
As a Project Manager you are responsible for overseeing the execution of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You'll manage all aspects of the project, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
The Project Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success, and is responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, resolving issues, and maintaining project documentation.
- Lead and manage engineering projects from start to finish
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
- Track and monitor project progress, adjusting schedules and budgets as needed.
- Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Ensure projects comply with quality standards, safety regulations, and industry
- requirements.
- Resolve project-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to progress.
- Manage client and stakeholder communications, providing regular project updates.
- Ensure that project changes are documented, reviewed, and approved.
- Allocate resources efficiently and optimize project workflows.
- Lead project meetings, ensuring alignment across all team members and stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate discussions and negotiations with stakeholders
- Proven experience (5-10 years) in project management within an engineering and/or construction environment (preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of supervising teams effectively
- Experience in client relationship management and strong problem solving abilities
- Degree or diploma in technical background preferred i.e. STEM but not required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of program development and process mapping techniques.
- Nuclear field experience a bonus but not required
- Construction, gas, oil, mining, steel or medical background ideal
