About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in manufacturing operations, particularly in fabrication, precision machining, and welding. This role requires a detail-oriented, hands-on leader who can manage complex projects from kickoff to delivery while collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering, production, and quality.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and Project, and have working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and Lean Manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities
•Manage manufacturing projects from inception through completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
•Coordinate with engineering, production, purchasing, and quality departments to align project goals and execution
•Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations using Microsoft Project and Excel
•Track progress, identify risks or delays, and proactively implement corrective actions
•Ensure accurate job costing, materials planning, and scheduling within ERP systems
•Facilitate daily or weekly team meetings and status updates to ensure alignment and accountability
•Oversee documentation and compliance with ISO 9001 standards
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives and apply Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency
•Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on project status, changes, and deliverables
Qualifications
•Minimum 5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment
•Strong background in fabrication, machining, and welding processes
•Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., JobBOSS, Epicor, SAP, or similar)
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
•Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and documentation
•Experience implementing or working within Lean Manufacturing environments
•Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
•Ability to interpret technical drawings, specs, and manufacturing process flows
•PMP certification is a plus, but not required
