Actalent Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for a Manufacturing Project Engineering opening with a contract manufacturer that is located in eastern York, PA. This person will be responsible for leading the launch of new products, managing complex projects, and drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing processes.
Below is a summary of responsibilities for this position:
•Lead and manage the manufacturing launch of new products for key customers.
•Develop, manage, and track project budgets and timelines.
•Communicate project status to customers, ensuring trust, confidence, and the reputation as a top-tier supplier.
•Provide project updates to internal stakeholders, cross-functional team members, and leadership at each milestone of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
•Proactively identify and resolve project risks, including technical, cost, safety, and timing risks.
•Engineer and implement new manufacturing processes to ensure products meet print specifications consistently.
•Create and maintain engineering data and documents, including drawings, Bills-of-Material, Routings, Standard Rates, Process FMEA, Work Instructions, and Quality Control Plans.
•Collaborate with Tooling Engineers and Designers to design, build, and validate tooling and quality control gauges.
•Lead continuous improvement projects and contribute to the development of new manufacturing technologies or processes.

•Bachelors Degree in Engineering
•Strong project management and organizational skills
•Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
•In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, including Laser Cutting, Press Brake, Metal Stamping, MIG and Projection Welding, and Complex Assemblies
•Expertise in Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
•Proficiency in SolidWorks, CAD sheet metal design, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma
•Effective verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to solve complex problems and drive process improvement
•Strong relationship-building skills
•Willingness to travel up to 20%
