Patterson Professional Services is a trusted leader in water and wastewater utilities infrastructure, delivering high-quality construction services for water and wastewater systems across the southern United States. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and help drive successful project execution from pre-construction through close-out.
The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of water and wastewater utility construction projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities. This role involves full project lifecycle management, including assisting with project bids, sourcing and obtaining materials and subcontractor quotes, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of infrastructure projects.
· Manage all phases of construction projects from planning to completion
· Lead or support the pre-construction and bidding process, including preparing scopes of work, reviewing drawings/specs, and developing cost estimates
· Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to support accurate and competitive bids
· Coordinate material sourcing and procurement, ensuring timely delivery to job sites
· Create and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
· Supervise and coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
· Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
· Communicate with clients, engineers, inspectors, and internal stakeholders
· Prepare and deliver progress reports, change orders, and other project documentation
· Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
· Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in water utilities or civil infrastructure OR a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
· Experience with bidding, estimating, or procurement in a construction environment
· Familiarity with water/wastewater systems, including specifications and materials
· Strong understanding of construction documents, permitting processes, and safety protocols
· Proficient with project management and estimating software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Excel)
