The Manager, Tank Projects position will be responsible for managing API 653 tank turnaround projects for refining and midstream assets in the Northwest Region. The position will consist of managing the execution of tank integrity projects, while working with stakeholders to complete projects in a safe, timely, and cost effective manner.
- Lead employees in safety.
- Support company safety initiatives.
- Encourage employees to be safety leaders and to disseminate safety information to field personnel.
- Meet with contractor management regularly to discuss project safety.
- Attend JSA meetings to support field personnel and establish a management presence at the meetings.
- Manage personnel to complete tank integrity projects.
- Develop and maintain Project Management Plans and Site Specific Safety Plans.
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Develop and maintain project budgets.
- Review and approve project budgets.
- Review and approve Project Management Plans and Site Specific Safety Plans.
- Support the timely accurate submission of accruals and forecasting.
- Support ongoing projects by making site visits to review progress.
- Adapt to frequent changes in project and program direction.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and to optimize procedures within the group.
- Support strategic Business Development initiatives with the planning and execution of tank integrity projects.
- Understand the goals of strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with management, employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate through strong written and oral correspondence.
- Employ sound judgment in the decision-making process.
- Provide development opportunities to personnel.
- Encourage personnel to attend applicable training.

- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
- 3 or more years of experience in engineering, construction, and operations.
- 3 or more years of project management experience.
- 5 or more years of leading a project team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- 5 or more years of experience working with commercial, business development, pipelines, and terminals.
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office computer applications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- API 653 certification.
