Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by providing accurate estimates and cost analysis. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. The Project Estimator will be instrumental in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Duties

•

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.

•

Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for accurate project estimation and documentation.

•

Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.

•

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive estimates.

•

Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.

•

Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgets and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

•

Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather relevant data for accurate estimating.

•

Assist in developing project schedules and timelines in conjunction with project management teams.

Qualifications

•

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field, with a strong understanding of construction management principles.

•

Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is preferred.

•

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with contractors, suppliers, and clients.

•

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost control.

•

Familiarity with project management processes and construction site operations.

•

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

•

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
