Location: Vancouver/Toronto/Montreal this is a hybrid role in one of these locations.
We're looking for Project Engineers to join a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that supports owners, developers, and investors on large infrastructure and clean-energy projects.
They need a Project Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical background) who’s technically sharp on utility-scale solar, comfortable client-facing, and able to deliver commercial outcomes - not just technical reports.
- Technical oversight and engineering review of utility-scale solar project designs and deliverables.
- Leading and/or performing energy yield assessments and associated economic/performance analysis
- Performing technical due diligence and risk assessment for project development and investment decisions
- Client engagement - presenting findings, advising on technical/ commercial trade-offs, and representing the firm with developers, owners, and other stakeholders.
- Supporting and ideally driving new business: using your network and credibility to bring projects or introductions to the firm.
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience on utility-scale solar projects in Canada or the USA
- Strong competency with energy yield / performance assessments and a practical grasp of project economics.
- Excellent client-facing skills - clear, confident communicator who can translate technical findings into business outcomes.
- Commercial mindset: comfortable pitching work, following up on leads, and leveraging contacts to win new engagements.
- Consulting/advisory experience is highly desirable.
