accomplisheddesign/project professional with a strong mechanical and process background to join our team.

- Perform process and mechanical engineering tasks and calculations for Upstream and Midstream Oil and Gas Facilities.
- Develop PFDs, P&IDs, site plot plans, and equipment layout drawings from the client's design basis.
- Provide recommendations for equipment including compressors, process vessels, pumps, PSVs, control valves, and flares.
- Develop project lists (Equipment, Line List, etc.) and create pipe specifications and valve descriptions.
- Review 3D Navisworks models for accuracy against P&IDs, checking for interferences, accessibility, operability, and constructability.
- Coordinate and prepare as-built drawings.
- Perform fieldwork, including documentation, research, and construction support.
- Perform project engineering and management roles, including developing and updating project scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and reports.
- Manage and track project tasks, deliverables, change orders, and out-of-scope items.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and document lessons learned.
- Provide design support and coordinate the flow of project information to other engineering disciplines.
- Present conceptual and final designs to clients.
- Participate in safety reviews (HAZOP/PHAs/MOCs).
- Lead, mentor, and support project team members.
- Prepare or provide input for engineering proposals.
- Build strong client relationships and work to establish the Mesa Applied Technologies brand.
- Identify opportunities for diversification into other industries.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.
- 7+ years of proven experience in process/mechanical engineering. - 5+ years of work experience in upstream and midstream oil and gas projects.- Previous consulting engineering experience is required;
previous operating company experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with process simulation software (HYSYS, ProMax, VMG Symmetry);
current company standard is ProMax.
- Demonstrated ability to produce engineering calculations, P&IDs, design layouts, and equipment specifications.
- Strong familiarity with ASME and API industry standards and best practices.
- Proven experience walking down facilities to prepare accurate P&IDs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work productively in a remote team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Bluebeam.
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed (typically 10-20% annually).
- Must provide a reliable high-speed internet connection and a remote working location. No relocation is required.
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on workload and business needs, with evening and weekend work as required.
- $110,000 to $156,000 Annually:
Compensation will be commensurate with proven experience and capabilities.
