Project Engineerto join their team based in
Gonzales, LA. In this role, you will lead small capital projects (<$5MM) within North America operations, supporting strategic planning, turnaround planning, and execution.

- Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without visa or sponsorship.
- Lead capital projects, including engineering, design, and construction resource management.
- Develop project estimates, funding documents, schedules, and forecasts within SAP.
- Ensure process hazard reviews and operational readiness inspections (ORI) are conducted and recommendations completed.
- Maintain safety standards, ensuring adherence to
inherent process safety
principles.
- Provide field supervision and support during project execution.
- Oversee project safety, budget, and schedule compliance.
- Conduct safety kickoff meetings with contractors and operations teams.
- Perform daily contractor safety assessments, job safety analysis (JSA) reviews, and participate in permit issuance processes.
- Lead daily safety/toolbox meetings and report all safety incidents immediately.
- Ensure contractor Emergency Action Plans are submitted before mobilization.
- Participate in safety audits, sampling, and monthly safety meetings.
- 10-20 years
of experience in project engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of
plant operations and turnaround execution
.
- Experience managing
capital projects under $5MM
.
- Familiarity with SAP for project tracking and financial forecasting.
- Knowledge of
Air Separation Units (ASU), Hydrogen (H2, HyCO) plants
, and industrial gas operations.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to obtain
TWIC, passport, and pass refinery background checks
as required.
