Job Description: Project Accounting Supervisor

Position Overview: A Project Accounting Supervisor will work closely with a team of project accountants to manage financial functions, including project accounting, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and audits. Our ideal candidate uses strong analytical skills to create detailed financial reports and forecasts. To succeed in this role, you should also have a problem-solving attitude and be able to manage a team. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our financial management is accurate and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Oversee daily transactions, including project accounting, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations

•

Participate in regular compliance and tax audits

•

Prepare budget reports and forecast revenues

•

Manage the month-end and year-end closing

•

Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department

•

Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records

•

Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives

•

Establish accounting policies and procedures aligned with the company’s targets

•

Ensure compliance with the law

Qualifications and Requirements:

•

Proven work experience as an Accounting Supervisor

•

3-5 years’ Experience with Net Suite ERP. Specifically in Project Accounting

•

Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas), also Power BI proficiency

•

Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, and regulations

•

Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data

•

Attention to detail and accuracy

•

Team management skills

•

Ability to prioritize work

•

BS degree in Accounting or Finance

•

Accounting certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) is a plus

•

Able to work a desk job requiring long hours of sitting and working on a computer.

•

Occasional walking around the office, attending meetings, and visiting different departments.

•

Proficient in using a computer, including typing, using a mouse, and other peripherals.

•

Ability to read and analyze documents, computer screens, and technical diagrams.

•

Effective listening skills for communication during interviews, meetings, both in-person and virtual.

•

Potential travel to different locations for meetings, conferences, or site visits, which might involve driving or flying.

Pay Range: $105,000 - $120,000 Annual
