The Program Manager, Operations Excellence (OPEX) role supports operational performance improvements at
the branches by collaborating with the Operations team and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
They assist in establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and engage team members to enhance efficiency
and safety, ensuring alignment with the business plan.
Salary for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.

What You'll Be Doing
•Supports OPEX Leaders in formulating the annual improvement plan.
•Assists in leading OPEX initiatives for designated branches, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
•Identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with branch leaders to develop and implement action plans.
•Assists in developing and deploying visual management tools, standardizing best work practices, and documenting processes.
•Maintains communication channels with branch leaders and General Managers (GMs).
•Supports the training and coaching of branch team members on continuous improvement methodologies.
•Facilitates collaboration across key stakeholders e.g. IT, SHS, Fleet, etc.
•Participates in Gemba walks, engage with front-line staff to gather input, identify pain points, and co-create solutions.
•Builds relationships and supports team members to foster a continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization.
•Assists in developing and leading structured project plans and changes management strategies to support successful adoption of new processes.
•Helps establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to measure project impact and operational performance.
•Prepares and delivers updates on project status and OPEX performance metrics for assigned branches.
•Ensures process changes comply with safety regulations, company standards, and best practices.
•Collaborates with Safety Advisors to ensure continuous improvement initiatives enhances the safety and wellbeing of all team members.
What We're Looking For
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems, or another relatable field required, MBA preferred.
•Minimum of 10 years’ experience in continuous improvement, Operations Excellence, or Lean Manufacturing.
•Demonstrated success in implementing Lean/OPEX initiatives.
•Proficiency in driving Operations Excellence, Lean, and Change Management.
•Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to achieving results.
•Collaborative and results-oriented approach.
•Excellent project management, execution, and organizational skills.
•Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and analyze problems, and develop effective corrective actions.
•Effective communication skills, capable of working with all levels of the organization, from operators to senior leaders.
•Experience in developing and reporting on key performance metrics.
•Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven mindset.
•Hands-on experience with SMART goal setting, strategy deployment, root cause analysis, 5S, and standard work.
•Ability to move around the office and other work environments, including standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
•Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones.
•Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
•Good vision to read and analyze data, documents, and computer screens.
•Clear verbal communication skills for facilitating workshops and training sessions.
•Adequate hearing ability to participate in meetings and discussions.
•Willingness and ability to travel extensively to branches, meetings and training sessions.
