Program Manager (Bus Prof) (contract)

Job Summary

This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) across all engineering, construction services, and overhaul activities related to various projects. The position requires a strong technical background in engineering or construction, as it involves overseeing the coordination and execution of QA/QC programs that span multiple projects and disciplines. You will collaborate closely with plant directors, project managers, and project leads to ensure compliance with QA/QC standards for both capital and operations & maintenance (O&M) projects. Your expertise will guide project leads in developing effective QA/QC plans, while also managing inspection personnel and maintaining uniform quality standards across the Energy Supply fleet.

- Oversee the overall management of the QA/QC oversight process for all project-related activities.

- Coordinate with plant directors, project managers, and project leads to meet QA/QC standards.

- Assist in developing inspection and testing plans for project activities.

- Identify and schedule quality witness and inspection points for fabrication and installation activities.

- Manage the work activities of QA/QC inspection personnel in collaboration with project leads.

- Inspect and review field construction activities, ensuring job site safety and compliance with schedules.

- Supervise staffing of inspection resources and manage procurement documentation related to materials and equipment.

- Implement uniform quality construction standards across major capital projects within the Energy Supply fleet.

- Analyze construction quality performance against industry trends and provide recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer).

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a QA/QC oversight role within engineering or construction sectors.
