Responsible for managing complex and high risks projects. Oversees project budgets and schedules. Manage day-to-day aspects of project scope. Minimizes project risk. Creates and manages project work plans and work breakdown structures.
Xcel Energy is undertaking a multi-year transformation centered around four major enterprise programs: Customer Information System (CIS) Modernization, Advanced Outage Management (AOM), ECC to S/4HANA Migration, and Private Long-Term Evolution (PLTE). These programs are critical to modernizing Xcel’s technology landscape, enhancing customer and field operations, and enabling strategic business outcomes.
Given the scale, complexity, and interdependencies across these programs, Xcel Energy has established a Transformation Program Management Office (TPMO) to provide centralized oversight and alignment. The TPMO will not manage the individual programs directly, but will ensure consistency in governance, tools, processes, and performance tracking across the portfolio. The TPMO will serve as a unifying function that enables a single, integrated view of transformation progress, risks, and value realization for executive stakeholders. It will also facilitate standardization and a unified “transformation” experience to key Xcel Energy stakeholders impacted by the change.
TPMO work is being organized into four workstreams: Program Design and Governance; Business Readiness; Implementation Technical Support; and Quality Assurance.
The current role needed will support the Program Design and Governance workstream in the areas of:
- Program Governance
- Financial Management
- Vendor Management
- Risk/Issue Management
