We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Support Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in managing sample boards, inventory, and supporting production operations, while also serving as a backup to the Shipping Manager when needed.
You’ll play a key part in coordinating between the office and production floor, ensuring that orders are fulfilled on time and with high quality. The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain accurate inventory of sample boards.
- Assist in sourcing and preparing product samples.
- Communicating lead time expectations to internal teams.
- Ensure consistent product quality for all samples.
- Handle UPS shipments of sample boards.
- Track and organize material inventory with correct tagging.
- Conduct weekly RFID cycle counts.
- Manage tag deletions and ensure system accuracy.
- Support year-end inventory counts and system adjustments.
- Coordinate with production to ensure materials are properly staged and available
- Follow production workflow to meet lead times and order priorities.
- Act as a communication link between production facilities and the office
- Relay high-priority order instructions from management to production supervisors.
- Provide sales staff with updates on order status and lead times.
- Answer sales inquiries by coordinating with production teams.
- Ensure materials needed for production are available, including shipments from Valders.
- Conduct ongoing product quality checks during production.
- Serve as a backup to the Shipping Manager, supporting outbound shipments and logistics as needed
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Prior experience in production, shipping, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks with a sense of urgency.
- Familiarity with RFID systems and inventory management is preferred.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
This is largely a physical role; however, some data driven, computer work is required. This would require the ability to lift stone, bending, driving or standing as necessary. Must be able to lift 25 – 50 pounds occasionally.
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area may be expected.
