Job Overview

The Production Scheduler will be a key member of the Bassano Operations team, responsible for planning and prioritizing requirements for the manufacturing of in-process and finished orders.

This position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness for new initiatives or changes. The role also involves proactively identifying issues and opportunities, proposing solutions, and ensuring alignment between production capabilities and sales demand.

Job Duties

- Monitor, review, and analyze the production schedule to ensure cost efficiency and progress.

- Process production orders in SAP and ensure on-time deliveries for sales orders and projects.

- Collaborate with engineering to verify that BOM structures and operations processes are accurate, aligned, and that engineering changes are fully implemented and closed.

- Work closely with purchasing to ensure material delivery dates align with sales order requirements.

- Initiate and/or support material transfers between the Calgary and Bassano locations as needed.

- Assist the production team in day-to-day operations, which requires regular interaction with shop-floor staff and teams in Calgary facility.

- Provide material and labor quotes to Sales and incorporate the information into the production forecast.

- Inventory control support

- Support additional planning and item master functions as required.

- General Office Administration support:

- Phone attendant support

- Administration support for time and access systems

- Documentation support for creating/updating procedures and instructions

- Office supplies and services management

Job Requirements

· High school diploma with a strong background in mathematics is required.

· Post-secondary education in a manufacturing-related field is preferred. Certification in Supply Chain Management or Project Management is an asset

· SAP Experience is preferred

· Ability to work independently and take initiative

· Excellent planning, communication, and organizational skills

· Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets at an advanced level

· Ability to work with production team on a daily basis.
