Spectrum E-Coat, a leader in decorative finishes in the metal industry, is seeking a Production Coordinator specializing in Coaching and managing a production line for our 1st Shift Team. This dynamic individual will act as a Servant Leader providing clear and concise instruction in a positive and supporting environment. The primary function of this role is to drive production and celebrate our Metrics while enjoying what we do every day.
The job description includes, but is not limited to:
- Ensure and organize workflow with staffing, setup, racks, parts, packaging, partials, hold items, etc.
- Review workforce availability and make assignments based on skills and abilities of shop floor associates.
- Promote a safe work environment.
- Communication link with Supervisors, Hilo Drivers, quality department, and Production Scheduler.
- Assure IATF procedures are followed, assist in CARs, and support continual improvement teams.
- Participate in ensuring efficiencies on the line to obtain maximum incentive rates
- Complete all necessary training pertaining to production with new employees.
- Act as a resource in answering team members’ questions and assist in resolving problems.
- Must be able to identify issues that may result in disciplinary action and refer these instances to the appropriate manager.
- Responsible for key performance indicators of safety, quality, scrap, and productivity within their designated neighborhood.
- Ensure packaging is prepared and delivered to production teams.
- Perform weekly safety audits and random lot control audits.
- Ability to read and adhere to production schedule.
- Monitor daily unexcused absences and push attendance with employees.
- Coordinate backups for positions within their realm of responsibility.
- Ability to change and fix racking/packing ticket issues within the iSeries system.
- Ability to fill out and deliver employee performance evaluations.
- Ability to issue disciplinary write ups.
- Demonstrate reliability through availability, attendance, accountability, and follow-through.
- Fill in for an indirect position, if needed.
- Communicate with customers about schedules, packaging, and inventories.- Minimum Associate's Degree or 5+ years of experience in advance manufacturing leadership.
