This position reports into the Power Valve Department, supports global markets in thermal, gas-fired, and hydroelectric power generation. This strategic role is responsible for defining the technical foundation and product direction of our power valve portfolio, with a focus on ultra-supercritical coal, combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT), and pumped-storage applications. The ideal candidate will bridge market needs, engineering execution, and international compliance to drive product success.
1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive product strategy roadmap covering three core segments: Coal-fired power plants (including ultra-supercritical units)、Gas-fired power generation (including CCGT)、Pumped-storage hydropower
2. Clearly define product boundaries between standard and mid-to-high-end offerings.
3. Author the
Power Valve Product Specification
and establish a standardized product list with defined interfaces and performance criteria.
4. Define technical requirements and set development priorities for specialized high-end valves, such as: High-temperature/high-pressure valves、Emergency shut-off valves。
5. Engage directly with global customers—including OEMs, EPC contractors, and engineering institutes—to lead technical clarifications and translate operational challenges into actionable product requirements.
6. Coordinate and drive the execution of international certification programs, including but not limited to: EN 12952、VGB、API。
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Energy & Power Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related engineering discipline.
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in the power valve industry, with at least 5 years focused on product planning or valve design.
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of valve systems in
at least twoof the following plant types:
• Ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plants (main steam and feedwater systems)
• Combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plants (fuel gas and heat recovery steam generator systems)
• Pumped-storage hydropower plants (hydraulic control ball valves)
• Thorough understanding of valve applications across all major power plant systems
• Proficient in key international standards: ASME B16.34, EN 12952, VGB, API 607
• Capable of independently performing valve sizing, service life assessment, and sealing system design
• Experienced in material selection for demanding service conditions (e.g., P91, P92, WC6, WC9, HVOF-coated components)
English is the working language. Must be fluent in both written and spoken English, with the ability to draft technical documentation and participate confidently in international bid technical reviews.
