Product Manager

Summary

As Product Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of our product lines. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. Must be able to act as a liaison between the Sales department and Product Management, deal with customers both internal and external, as well as technical product support and pricing issues.

Essential Functions

- Build products from existing ideas and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects.

- Must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy with a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality

- Must be able to communicate with all areas of the company: (1) Engineering as a counterpart to define product release requirements. (2) Marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers. (3) Serve as the internal and external promoter for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth

- Managing new product development from strategic planning to market entry

- Handling warranty issues with our product internally and externally

- Provide technical assistance to both customer and sales department

- Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources

- Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product

- Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and non-customers.

- Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on the company

- Develop sales tools, i.e., presentations, application notes, demo CDs, technical documentation, and competitive analyses to assist the sales force.

- Provide input for literature, and advertisements. Participate in trade shows.

- Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

Required:

- Mechanical / Construction / Technical - Degree

- Knowledgeable in water and wastewater a plus

- Sales experience a plus

- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

- Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
