The Project Assistant will support the procurement team by performing a range of administrative and coordination duties. This role requires experience with Oracle and involves assisting with purchase order (PO) management, supplier communication, documentation tracking, and cross-functional coordination. The position offers visibility into large-scale procurement operations and is ideal for candidates seeking to develop their career in supply chain or project support.
• Support buyers by creating, updating, and tracking purchase orders (POs) in Oracle
• Assist with procurement-related documentation, including supplier onboarding paperwork and change requests
• Maintain procurement status logs, trackers, and spreadsheets for reporting purposes
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to confirm PO status and delivery timelines
• Schedule and coordinate procurement-related meetings, including agendas and follow-ups
• Maintain electronic filing systems and ensure document control compliance
• Support data entry, audit prep, and general administrative tasks for the procurement team
• Collaborate with project coordinators and document control to ensure alignment on key project milestones
• 2+ years of experience in administrative support, procurement coordination, or project assistance
• Familiarity with Oracle or similar ERP software required (Oracle strongly preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
• Comfortable working in a team environment with cross-functional collaboration
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
• Prior experience in a construction, high-tech, or manufacturing environment
• Interest in growing within procurement, supply chain, or project coordination roles
