Position Overview:
The Engineering Project Assistant is to coordinate and maintain the permitting process that includes but not limited to researching permitting jurisdictions, preparing the staking sheets, and permit applications. Provides support in the engineering department such as draft, design, organizing documentation, and communication throughout the project.
Working Conditions / Environment:
This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones (i.e., Smartphone), photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax and scanning machines.
This is a largely sedentary position; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal. If required to occasionally go onsite, will be required to wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, hard hats, and safety vests.
