Position Mission: Initiate and lead the effective process optimization efforts for all parts of the plant.
Responsibilities:•Directly responsible for the plant physical measurements on demand: Flow, pressure, temperature, gas analysis, among others.
•Monitor the weekly performance of the kiln heat consumption, assist control room operators, and troubleshoot issues focusing on raw mill operations.
•Effectively communicate the technical evaluation to the process/production / Maintenance groups.
•Support for the use of new raw materials or the substitution of alternative fuels in the process.
•Request and follow up spare parts for the main kiln outage: Burner, TA Damper, and kiln cast steel.
•Conduct process audits on operational systems (crusher, PH tower, coal mill, cooler systems) as set by the process coordinator.
•Coordinate to grab samples during kiln or pre-heater buildups. Report results on time.
•Understand and utilization of PI or SAP system for collecting data. Supporting production support specialists during the survey day.
•Lead burner alignment activities, grinding media loading, ammonia system service, natural gas & grinding aid testing.
•Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
•A bachelor's degree in a technical/engineering area is required. A Chemical Engineer is highly desired.
•A cement plant is preferred, and an industrial process is required.
•Manufacturing equipment.
Physical Work and Environmental Exposure:
•Plant 50% of the time. Extreme heat, cold, noise, vibrations, and dust.
