Position Summary:
The Process Engineer III is responsible for applying design and process engineering skills to a variety of Oil, Gas and Chemical/Petrochemical projects in a multi-disciplinary environment. This is a junior to mid-level position requiring some project experience with work being performed under general supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
•Performs pressure relief calculations using process simulation software and prepares complete PSV packages for client review.
•Perform as Lead Process Engineer for small to medium size jobs, depending on complexity
•Establishes process engineering scope, estimated man-hours and schedule to facilitate proposal development, progress tracking and development of change orders.
•Completes sizing and design of process equipment, such as pumps, heat exchangers, separation equipment, tanks, etc. required for process design.
•Communicates scope changes promptly.
•Will be required to make local on-site visits necessary to support projects, within a 50-mile radius.
Qualifications:
•Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, or related engineering degree, from an ABET accredited university required.
•Minimum of 7 years of experience in Process Engineering.
•Professional Engineering (PE) registration preferred.
•Knowledge of process engineering terminology, measures, concepts and principles necessary for execution of process design tasks.
•General aptitude with process simulation, hydraulics, and other process-related software.
•Ability to effectively communicate with peers, co-workers, clients, customers, and the general public.
